Mr. Sebastian Espinoza, Principal

Mr. Sebastian Espinoza has over 15 years of experience in education. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Southwest Texas State University and a Masters in Education Administration through Concordia University. He started his career in education as a Math and ESL teacher at the secondary level. He later became the lead engineering teacher and program coordinator for Austin HS in Austin, TX.

Mr. Espinoza is a native Spanish speaker and lived in Guadalajara, Mexico prior to moving to Houston, TX, where he attended Waltrip HS. He moved to Central TX after graduation and never looked back. Austin became his home, and is where he met his wife, Erin. They have two young boys (6 and 2). The Espinozas are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and visiting state and national parks.

Stacey Brown, Assistant Principal

My name is Stacey Brown and I am so excited to be an Assistant Principal for Lake Travis Elementary. I am so fortunate to call the beautiful Lake Travis area home and happy to serve the district and families within our community.

For the past 29 years, I have worked as a classroom teacher, Instructional Coach and Reading Specialist in South Florida. Wanting to be closer to family, I moved to Lakeway, TX one year ago.  

As a long-time resident of South Florida, I graduated from a high school in the sixth largest school district in the country. I went on to receive my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from East Tennessee State University, only to return to Broward County and start my career as a teacher. While teaching, I earned my master's degree in Reading from Florida International University and a specialist's degree in Educational
Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. My passion for teaching and learning and the desire to continue learning and studying is just one reason why my family calls me the "professional student."

I am so excited to be at LTE and can't wait to meet everyone and get the 2023-2024 school year started!

Mrs. Alys Moore, Administrative Assistant to the principal.

Mrs. Moore has been working at LTE since 2017. She is from Valencia, Venezuela, and moved to Texas almost 20 years ago. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from the University of Carabobo in Venezuela, she also has a Major in Modern Languages in English. Before living in Austin she lived in South Texas for 10 years. She has two kids, both attended LTE during their elementary years.  

She enjoys spending time with her two kids and pets, going on walks, she loves to travel and visit new places especially the beach. Her hobby is crafting jewelry, watching tv, and reading about mysteries!

Mrs. Elizabeth Cardle, Receptionist

I can hardly remember a time when I was NOT a Receptionist at Lake Travis Elementary! I have been at LTE for 16 years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I love our campus for many reasons but one of my favorite aspects of LTE is its diversity. It is also very rewarding for me to use my (limited) Spanish to help parents and students.

I am a native Texan, and grew up in Houston and Fort Worth. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and am married to a TCU Horned Frog. My husband, Jim, and I have been married for 30 years and have two grown children, Will (23) and Audrey (20). Both of our kids are “lifers” and went K-12^th in LTISD.

I love to cook, watch sports, travel, do yardwork and entertain. My favorite thing to do is have my kids back home with their friends for holidays and weekends…. I miss those days!  Enjoy them while you can – they grow up fast!!
